Food Allergy Friendly Find: Blacker's Bakeshop

Today my son, who has life threatening allergies to peanuts and tree nuts, went to a peanut-free, nut-free, dairy-free, Kosher bakery called Blacker's Bread Basket (sister store to Blacker's Bakeshop) in Newton, MA and got something he has been waiting to have for a very long time: a baguette. We also got a cinnamon babka and kichel (a big flat sugar cookie). I'll take photos as soon as I can, but for the time being, I would really like to share 2 short videos about the bakery with you. What a great way to end a beautiful week! (I wish this weather would continue forever!) And now it's time for me to go eat some of that bread...

*Note: I will be writing to the owners to get additional information about their ingredients, in terms of whether or not the ingredients come from peanut-free, nut-free, dairy-free manufacturers. Stay tuned!

I didn't know why I felt so awful until I saw a allergist in Darien. Turns out I'm allergic to gluten.
