The opening of the Allergy-Free Shop was featured in a recent Miami Herald article. Jennifer Herskowitz, mother of three--two of whom suffer from multiple food allergies--recently opened the Allergy-Free Shop in Miami, FL. Jennifer was the winner of the 2008 Miami Herald Business Plan Challenge and has big plans for the store. There, individuals with food allergies and other dietary restrictions can find a wide selection of foods. The store is organized to make it easy for customers to find the products most appropriate for their particular diets. Store shelves bear color coded tags with "free-from" symbols to enable customers to zero in on what they need and spend less time scrutinizing labels.
The Allergy-Free Shop accepts telephone orders and will soon offer online ordering as well. They offer products for the top eight food allergens as defined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as well as those free of corn, gluten, sesame, and sulphites.
If you are in the Miami area or have plans to vacation there, you can visit the Allergy-Free Shop at 8803 SW 1132nd Street, Miami, FL 33176. For more information, telephone 305.254.2828 or 1.800.ALLRGY4, or visit the website, www.allergyfreeshop.com.

Please note Jennifer Herskowitz at The Allergy-Free Shop carries a nice selection of ALERT CLOTHING COMPANY merchandise. A parent cannot be present constantly(pre-school, field trips, camp..) and a two, three, or four year old cannot be depended upon to relay their food allergy message to all. ALERT CLOTHING COMPANY is designed with the child in mind. Bright, cheerful, colorful T-shirts, sweatshirts and tote bags all the message of food allergies included on each item. The company logo is on the back of each item for easy identification as well. Fish, ladybugs, and fairies to dinosaurs and comboys...one is sure to make a little one smile. My goal is to raise awareness, help the caregivers with the identification of food allergies, and have the child feel special too! ALERT CLOTHING COMPANY supports FAAN- the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network. Please visit our website to learn more www.alertclothingcompany.com Together lets raise awareness and keep these children safe. Thank you for your time.
My Best,
R. Nelson
